WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
Saint Jerome School, located on the South Shore in Weymouth, MA, is a Catholic elementary school educating students from ages 3 through Grade 8. The school was founded in 1957 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. As years passed, the Sisters shared their supervision and presence with lay faculty. Today, all faculty and staff are lay teachers, but the spirit and mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame are ever-present.
At Saint Jerome School the pastoral staff, administration, faculty, and the parents and students are committed to building a community of vibrant academic achievements and faith-filled activities. Saint Jerome School embraces the Gospel values set forth by Jesus Christ. With this as our foundation we make a daily commitment to foster faith in God, promote Christian values through service, and create meaningful and lasting learning experiences that inspire the joy of discovery.
Today, under the supervision of Mr. J. A. Hauser as principal, and a professional teaching staff of 15 lay teachers, the school provides academic rigor that meets or exceeds all Massachusetts State standards. The education curriculum is designed to develop the whole child, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The parish priests, under the direction of Rev. Huy Nguyen, coordinate monthly mass celebrations and the observance of holy days of obligation and other religious holidays.
In addition, we offer many extracurricular activities such as Lego Robotics, drama, basketball, BOKS fitness, and much more. We also provide early morning and extended day programs for working families.
